Re-publication in English & first publication in Spanish.
To mark the 40th anniversary of its publication – one of the great documents of the 20th century.

In 1967, newly independent Tanzania led by President Julius Nyerere issued The Arusha Declaration. It examines the problem for poor countries developing economically. Beginning with the working life of the people, especially of women in villages who ‘work harder than anyone else’, it sets out a strategy of unity, self-reliance and co-operation. The Arusha Declaration has been out of print but never out of date.
